Award-winning craft beer brewery Heart of Darkness from Saigon, Vietnam, has expanded its menu with tasty new sharing plates, tapas, meat, tacos and a much more diverse drinks menu.

Known for their extensive beer offerings – ranging from core brews to seasonal and collaborative offerings with local, regional and global craft breweries – Heart of Darkness has recently introduced an extensive and elevated revamp to their food menu. The new additions blend regional Asian cuisine with American soul food.

For starters try Bánh Bao Gà – juicy minced chicken dumplings served with Thai sweet chilli sauce (S$14), Nachos with vegetarian chilli, house-made guacamole, sour cream and jalapenos (S$14, + $8 for Animal Style with pulled pork or smoked brisket). For something heartier try the Darkness Rendang Wagyu Burger with miso butter, cheese sauce, cabbage slaw, rendang sauce, crispy bacon, egg and chips on a charcoal bun (S$26) or Char Siew Beef Short Ribs, slow-cooked for 14 hours and slathered in Merciless Phantom Reserve Imperial Stout sauce, served with spicy purple cabbage slaw (S$38).

A variety of sharing plates are also on offer, such as the Taco Platter, with a mix of 8 tacos and nachos for a group fiesta (S$65), the Jumbo Family Size Animal Style Nachos with a choice of pulled pork or smoked brisket piled high with house-made guacamole, sour cream and jalapenos for 5 – 6 people (S$38) or grab your carnivorous crew and indulge in the Meat Platter, a selection of house favourites with three sausages, beef brisket, the char siew beef short rib and the pork belly (S$95).

With 20 taps filled with Heart of Darkness’ own creative brews and up to 5 taps dedicated to local breweries and special collaborations, the venue continues to push the boundaries of craft beer in the region while nurturing the next generation of brewers in Singapore. Award-winning favourites such as Dream Alone Pale AleFutile Purpose Cucumber Pilsner and Director’s Cacao Nib Porter are paired with an ever-changing limited release menu which is updated every couple of days.

More than just craft beer, Heart of Darkness offers a drink for every palate with signature cocktails, delicious gin & tonics, natural wines and sakes – so whatever your taste, you will find something to pair seamlessly with the new dining menu.

Try a new cocktail such as Year of the Ox, with Remy Martin VSOP, beef broth and peaches bringing an earthy, beefy, flavourful twist to your palate (S$19++). Signature Heart of Darkness cocktails mix their own beers with light and fresh options like the Futile Logic with Hendrick’s Orbium Gin, fresh lemon, house-made mint syrup, Futile Purpose Cucumber Pilsner and salted sesame cucumber (S$19++).

For a stirred drink, try the Conquistador with Casa Elemental Mezcal, Italian vermouth, Campari, Conquistador’s Mexican Pilsner and coffee reduction and a coffee lollipop (S$19++).
