The June holidays are almost here, which means parents across Singapore are about to enter that familiar stretch of school-break planning. You want something fun, preferably not too stressful, ideally indoors for at least part of the day and, if possible, interesting enough that the kids are not asking for a screen five minutes in.
Thankfully, this year’s holiday line-up has a bit of everything. There are immersive art experiences, Disney and Pixar-themed play zones, football-inspired LEGO activities, sustainability festivals and plushie pop-ups that are likely to make both kids and grown-ups smile.
Whether you are planning a full day out, looking for a quick after-lunch activity or hoping to sneak in something meaningful between all the fun, here are five family-friendly events in Singapore to check out as the June holidays begin.
1. Step into a virtual forest with Sang Kancil and the Enchanted Forest
If you want something that feels different from the usual mall activity, Sang Kancil and the Enchanted Forest is worth keeping on your radar. Created by Singapore immersive media studio Avventura in collaboration with Maya Dance Theatre, this brand-new virtual reality adventure reimagines the much-loved Southeast Asian fable of Sang Kancil as an interactive experience. Avventura describes the project as a location-based VR experience that lets audiences explore an enchanted forest while helping the clever mousedeer find her way home.
What makes this especially meaningful is the way movement, storytelling and technology come together. Guided by the original choreography of Maya Dance Theatre, the virtual world brings charming forest characters to life through the motion capture of diversely-abled dancers. It is not just about watching a story unfold, but stepping inside one.
The project is also supported through the stART Fund. NAC notes that UOB pledged S$200,000 to establish the UOB Digital Art Grant, aimed at supporting creative pursuits using digital technologies. For families, this makes the experience a lovely introduction to how art, dance and immersive media can meet in ways children instinctively understand.
Where: Toa Payoh Library, Programme Zone, Level 3, 6 Toa Payoh Central, Singapore 319191
Best for: Kids who enjoy stories, animals, movement and interactive worlds.
2. Enter a Toy Story-inspired toy box at VivoCity
For families who grew up with Woody and Buzz Lightyear and are now introducing them to their own children, VivoCity’s Disney and Pixar Toy Story celebration sounds like the kind of nostalgic-meets-playful outing that works across generations.
From 29 May to 28 June 2026, VivoCity will transform into a Toy Story-inspired “toy box” with oversized play zones, carnival-style games and themed photo spots. The celebration is tied to the upcoming release of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, which opens in Singapore cinemas on 18 June 2026, according to Disney Singapore and local cinema listings.

The Toy Box Adventures Zone reimagines familiar bedroom settings on an oversized scale, letting children imagine what it might feel like to see the world from a toy’s perspective. There will also be a Toy Story-themed Carnival Zone with game booths, family-friendly rides and playful challenges inspired by beloved characters. Think Pizza Planet-themed game stations, prizes, a trackless Mini Express Train and colourful Pedal Karts for a full day of play.
Across VivoCity, families can also look out for themed photo spots and a Toy Story-themed retail pop-up, where shoppers can browse character-themed accessories, collectibles and keepsakes.
Where: VivoCity
When: 29 May to 28 June 2026
Best for: Toy Story fans, mall-day families and kids who love games, rides and photo moments.
3. Kick off football fever at LEGO Football Fest
If your child is into LEGO, football or both, LEGO Football Fest could be a fun way to spend an afternoon. Happening at Compass One’s Level 2 Atrium until 21 June, the interactive pop-up celebrates the collaboration between The LEGO Group and FIFA World Cup 2026.
The LEGO Group has been rolling out football-themed products and experiences around the FIFA World Cup 2026, including football heroes, interactive football games and LEGO build activities at selected locations globally. In Singapore, the Compass One pop-up brings that spirit closer to home with football-inspired activities, photo opportunities and a first look at the collection.
For kids, the draw is simple: hands-on play. For parents, it is a nice way to channel football excitement into something creative and screen-light. The space is designed to encourage play, building and movement, making it a good option for families who want an activity that is energetic but still easy to manage within a mall setting.
Where: Compass One, Level 2 Atrium, 1 Sengkang Square, Singapore 545078
Until: 21 June 2026
Best for: LEGO fans, football-loving kids and families in the north-east.
4. Make sustainability feel fun at Earthopia Fest 2026
Going green can sometimes feel like a competition nobody remembers signing up for. One person has a zero-waste pantry. Someone else recycles everything. Another influencer has gone vegan, switched to thrifted fashion and somehow keeps all their plants alive.
Earthopia Fest 2026 takes a more approachable route. Happening from 29 to 31 May 2026 at Fort Canning Green, the youth-led sustainability festival brings together arts, wellness, fashion, food, technology and community in a way that makes sustainable living feel less like a lecture and more like a day out. The official Earthopia site lists the festival as taking place from 10am to 10pm, with free entry and RSVP encouraged.
According to event listings, Earthopia Fest 2026 will be held at Fort Canning Green from 29 to 31 May, with programming across the day. The event aims to show how sustainability can show up in everyday choices, whether that means bringing a reusable bag, learning from circular fashion, discovering greener food options or simply letting children see that caring for the planet can be creative and community-driven.
It is a strong pick for families who want something meaningful without making the day feel too heavy. Kids get to explore, parents get conversation starters and everyone leaves with the reminder that small changes can still count.
Where: Fort Canning Green
When: 29 to 31 May 2026, 10am to 10pm
Best for: Families who like outdoor festivals, creative showcases and purpose-led activities.
5. Meet the Disney Dessert Besties at Great World and beyond
For something sweet, cute and very photo-friendly, the Disney Dessert Besties pop-up is likely to be a hit with younger children and Disney fans. Beloved Disney characters are reimagined through a playful world of sweet treats, interactive stations and special edition collectibles.
The experience includes three interactive stations where children can watch their own Disney Dessert Besties-themed food plush being “prepared” on the spot. From baked goods and Singaporean breakfast-inspired items to the new Ice Cream plush station, each stop adds a different layer of surprise. Making their Southeast Asia debut at Great World are new Disney Dessert Besties, including Mickey Waffle, Minnie Pancake and Ice Cream plushies themed to Mickey and Friends.

The pop-up opens to the public at Great World on 27 May before travelling across Allgreen Malls, including The Seletar Mall, Tanglin Mall and Pasir Ris Mall, until 28 June. Public social posts from Disney-related and family accounts also list the Disney Dessert Besties campaign as running from 27 May to 28 June.

Before June officially begins, families can also check out I’m Proud of You: ChampsFest 2026 at Marina Square Atrium. The six-day family celebration runs from 26 to 31 May 2026 and is part of MindChamps’ Global Movement, which has been around since 2017. Event listings confirm that ChampsFest 2026 takes place at Marina Square Atrium during this period.
The event is built around a simple but powerful message: children need to hear that their efforts matter. Families can expect a Champion Zone with inflatable obstacle courses, a Learning Zone with activities across English, Maths, Chinese and Science, a Creative Zone for hands-on experiences and live performances by MindChamps PreSchool and MindSpace Champs.
It is a nice pre-holiday stop if you want to start the school break on an encouraging note, especially for children who respond well to active play, praise and shared family moments.
Where: Marina Square Atrium, 6 Raffles Boulevard, Singapore 039594
When: 26 to 31 May 2026

Final tip for parents
As always with pop-ups and mall activations, it is worth checking the latest event pages or mall socials before heading down, especially for activity timings, queue arrangements, redemption mechanics and any ticketed components. But if your June holiday goal is simple, to get the kids out, keep them curious and create a few happy memories along the way, this list is a pretty good place to start.
