Singaporeans have another reason to cheer as the year-end travel season approaches. Booking.com, one of the world’s leading digital travel platforms, has expanded its services in Singapore by launching a branded flight product. This addition allows travellers to book flights alongside accommodations, car rentals, taxis, and attractions—all on a single platform. To further simplify trip planning, the company has unveiled new AI-powered features designed to make travel more intuitive and personalised.

Booking.com brings seamless flight booking for Singaporean travellers

With the launch of its flights service, Booking.com now offers Singaporeans access to flights from over 500 airlines to more than 4,500 destinations worldwide. The platform ensures a complete, end-to-end booking experience, covering flight searches, reservations, and post-booking support.

Travellers can benefit from key features, including:

  • Price Transparency: Full cost visibility with no hidden charges or credit card fees, ensuring customers know exactly what they are paying upfront.
  • Flexible Ticket Options: Flexi-ticket options offer peace of mind, allowing changes to flight reservations as needed.
  • Virtual Interlining: Travellers can mix and match flights from different airlines to find better prices and flexibility. Self-Transfer Guarantee ensures support for these customised itineraries.
  • 24/7 Customer Support: Dedicated assistance is available round the clock via live chat or call.

This service addition is a significant step towards Booking.com’s vision of a “connected trip,” where every travel component is integrated into a single, seamless platform.

AI-powered features for effortless travel planning

Booking.com is also harnessing the power of generative AI (GenAI) to make trip planning smarter and more time-efficient. Three innovative tools—Smart Filters, Property Q&A, and Review Summaries—are now available for Singaporean users.

  1. Smart Filters: Travellers can describe their ideal stay in natural language, and Booking.com’s GenAI will apply the most relevant filters, delivering a curated list of matching properties.
  2. Property Q&A: This tool instantly answers specific questions about a property by analysing details from listings, reviews, and photos—helping users determine if a property fits their needs.
  3. Review Summaries (Beta): This feature, currently in development, condenses guest reviews into tailored summaries, highlighting aspects like parking or wheelchair accessibility.

The Smart Filters and Property Q&A features are already live on the Booking.com mobile app in Singapore, while Review Summaries will roll out following further optimisation.

A unified vision for travel with Booking.com

Speaking about the latest developments, Anthony Lu, Regional Director for Southeast Asia and China at Booking.com, said:

“At Booking.com, we’re addressing one of travel’s most complex challenges: providing travellers with the ability to search, book, and manage every aspect of a trip on a single platform. As part of our ‘connected trip’ vision, we’re now bringing all elements of the journey together in Singapore with the launch of our own branded flights product and the suite of new AI-powered features we’re rolling out. We’re making travel planning smarter and more seamless, ensuring Singaporean travellers can plan their entire trip with ease and confidence, whilst accessing an unrivalled breadth of choice across all trip elements.”

By integrating flights into its offerings and leveraging AI to enhance user experiences, Booking.com sets a new standard for modern travel planning. Singaporean travellers can now look forward to smoother, smarter, and more tailored journeys, all from a single trusted platform. Whether planning a quick getaway or a comprehensive adventure, Booking.com continues to be a go-to resource for making travel as seamless as possible.
