There is something about Formula 1 season in Singapore that makes the entire city feel a little faster. The lights get brighter, engines get louder and suddenly performance is not just something happening on the track. Devialet is leaning into that mood with the launch of the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue, a striking new edition of its compact high-fidelity speaker, fronted by Formula 1 driver Isack Hadjar.

Unveiled in Singapore on 15 September 2026, the Pulse Blue edition arrives one year after the latest generation of the Phantom was introduced, bringing a new motorsport-inspired finish to the familiar sculptural design. And in a city already counting down to race weekend, the timing feels appropriate.
A shade inspired by life in the fast lane
This is not simply a blue speaker with an F1 face attached to the campaign. Devialet describes Pulse Blue as a colour inspired by the heightened focus that comes before a decisive moment, drawing parallels with the concentration, speed and precision demanded inside a racing cockpit. The finish reinterprets the brand’s signature blue with redesigned side panels transitioning from matte to gloss, a mirror-polished surface and a clear varnish over a deep RAL 5011 shade.

The accompanying campaign stars Hadjar as Devialet’s Global Brand Ambassador, linking the worlds of acoustic engineering and elite motorsport through their shared obsession with performance. It is dramatic, yes, but then again, subtlety has never really been the point of race weekend.
The F1 connection goes beyond aesthetics
The comparison between a racing machine and a high-end audio system is not entirely far-fetched. Both depend on engineering decisions most people will never see, precision measured in tiny margins and the pursuit of extracting more performance from increasingly compact technology.
Despite its relatively small form, the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB delivers frequencies from 18 Hz to 25 kHz and can reach 98 dB SPL. It also supports high-resolution audio files up to 24-bit/192 kHz. In everyday terms, that translates into a speaker designed to deliver much more scale than its dimensions suggest. Listen with one and you get a complete standalone system. Pair two in stereo and the left and right channels separate to create a wider soundstage with greater depth and spatial definition.
For an F1 playlist, that means everything from the low-end thump of an electronic track to the atmosphere of a live recording has room to breathe.
Plenty happening under the hood
Like a race car, much of the interesting technology sits beneath the surface. The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue incorporates several of Devialet’s proprietary technologies, including ADH New-Gen, which combines characteristics of Class A analogue amplification with Class D digital amplification, and SAM, an algorithm that adapts the audio signal to the speaker’s drivers in real time.
There is also HBI, or Heart Bass Implosion, engineered to reproduce bass frequencies down to 18 Hz, alongside Adaptive Volume Level, which adjusts sound dynamically depending on the content being played. If that sounds suitably technical, the user experience is more straightforward.
The speaker runs on Devialet’s DOS 3 software architecture and supports AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and UPnP. Through the Devialet app, listeners can switch between modes including Music, Podcast, Cinema and Neutral, as well as adjust a six-band equaliser, bass settings and loudness controls.
Built for race weekend, but not only race weekend
The obvious temptation is to imagine the Pulse Blue blasting your favourite pre-race playlist while Singapore’s Marina Bay circuit comes alive outside. But its appeal extends beyond the F1 association. The design is polished enough to function almost like an interior object, particularly with the matching Tree Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue stand, while the connectivity options make it suitable for everything from weekend entertaining to films and everyday listening.
That balance between spectacle and usability is probably the most interesting part of the launch. The Formula 1 connection gives the product personality, but Devialet has not created a novelty racing edition. Underneath the blue finish is still the same serious acoustic engineering the Phantom line is known for.
Where to find it in Singapore
The Devialet Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue launched on 15 September 2026 and is priced at S$2,650, while the matching Tree stand is S$400.
It is available through Devialet’s website as well as the Devialet Grand Hyatt Flagship Store and Devialet Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. For Formula 1 fans, it is an unusually stylish piece of race-season memorabilia. For everyone else, it is simply a very blue, very powerful reminder that sometimes the most exciting engineering is the kind you can hear.
