I have a soft spot for Uriage. I have been using their serums and sunscreen for a while now, so a new launch from the brand always gets my attention. While serums have their place on my skincare shelf, everyday essentials such as cleansers and moisturisers are just as deserving of a little consideration, particularly when dryness becomes uncomfortable.

That is what caught my eye about the newly reformulated Uriage Xémose C8+ range. Created for very dry, atopic-prone skin, the collection brings together cleansing and daily care with a focus on supporting the skin barrier. It is designed for babies, children and adults, making it a range with the whole family in mind.
What is new about Xémose C8+?
The headline ingredient is a combination of eight biomimetic ceramides, designed to mimic ceramides naturally found in the skin. Think of ceramides as part of the material that helps hold the skin’s protective outer layer together. They help retain moisture and maintain a barrier against external irritants. When that barrier is compromised, skin can feel dry, tight and uncomfortable.
Uriage’s updated C8+ formulation focuses on replenishing these lipids to support the physical skin barrier. The brand pairs this with what it calls Triple Barrier Science, an approach that also addresses the skin’s microbiome and immune-related barrier functions.
Alongside the ceramides, the range features Uriage Thermal Water and nourishing ingredients such as shea butter. The science is central to the reformulation, but the everyday appeal is straightforward: cleansing and moisturising products developed with very dry, itch-prone skin in mind.
Starting with a gentler shower routine
A daily shower is an easy part of a skincare routine to overlook. Yet when skin already feels tight or uncomfortable, the cleanser deserves as much attention as the cream applied afterwards. The Uriage Xémose C8+ Anti-itch Cleansing Oil is a soap-free option developed for very dry, atopic-prone skin. Its gel-oil texture turns into a light foam, with a formula containing Uriage Thermal Water, eight biomimetic ceramides and shea butter.
It is designed to cleanse while helping replenish lipids and reduce the discomfort associated with dryness. For anyone who enjoys a foaming cleanser but wants something formulated for dry skin, this is one of the collection’s key products to explore. The cleansing oil is priced at S$55.90 for 500ml.
A daily cream with barrier care at its centre
The other flagship product is the Uriage Xémose C8+ Lipid-Replenishing Anti-itch Cream, which combines the eight biomimetic ceramides with Uriage Thermal Water and 10% shea butter. Developed for intense dryness, itching and flaking, the cream is intended to nourish skin and help strengthen its barrier. Uriage describes the texture as lightweight and quick to absorb, without a greasy or sticky finish.
That texture will be something I am particularly interested in. In Singapore’s humidity, a nourishing cream needs to feel comfortable enough to use consistently, especially when getting dressed and heading out soon afterwards. Uriage reports clinically demonstrated 48-hour anti-itch and anti-recurrence efficacy for the cream. Individual experiences will vary, but the focus on lasting comfort is a welcome part of the formulation. The cream is priced at S$38.90 for 200ml.
Two more options for targeted care
The Singapore collection also includes the Xémose C8+ SOS Anti-Itch Mist, priced at S$33.90 for 200ml. Designed for touchless application, it offers a different format for moments when dry skin needs soothing on the go. For facial care, the Xémose C8+ Soothing Toner is formulated to calm extreme facial dryness. It is priced at S$38.90 for 250ml. Together, these products extend the collection beyond the shower-and-moisturise routine, with options for different areas and application preferences.
Where to find Uriage Xémose C8+ in Singapore
The Uriage Xémose C8+ range is available at Watsons and Guardian. Until 31 December 2026, Guardian is also carrying exclusive 50ml sizes of the Anti-Itch Cleansing Oil and Lipid-Replenishing Anti-Itch Cream at S$14.90 each, with 60% off the second item during the promotional period. The smaller formats offer a way to try the two flagship products before committing to the larger sizes.
Having already made room for Uriage’s serums in my routine, I am curious to explore this side of the brand. Xémose C8+ puts the attention on those everyday steps that can feel especially important when skin is dry: a comfortable cleanse, a nourishing cream and a routine that is easy to keep up with.
