Happy Fish Swim School: Empowering little swimmers for life

0 0

Swimming is not just a recreational activity; it’s a life skill that can save lives and boost overall well-being. As parents, we want the best for our children, and providing them with swimming lessons early on can be one of the most valuable gifts for our kids.

When it comes to swimming lessons, the first question that comes to the mind of every parent is when is the best time to start. The simple answer to this question is- “ sooner rather than later”. This is because starting swimming lessons during infancy and toddlerhood not only fosters water confidence and safety but also lays the groundwork for a lifelong affinity with water.

Start them early

Introducing infants and kids to swimming at a young age has numerous benefits. Firstly, it promotes water safety from an early stage, reducing the risk of water-related accidents. Secondly, learning to swim early enhances physical development, coordination, and muscle strength. We are not just saying this; multiple studies and reports have found that swimming has significant benefits for the overall development of children.

Additionally, swimming is an excellent form of cardiovascular exercise that helps maintain a healthy weight and boosts lung capacity. Furthermore, it instils discipline and improves concentration, as children must follow instructions and focus during lessons. Finally, swimming is a great social activity, enabling children to bond with their peers and build lasting friendships.

Happy Fish Swim School: Where learning meets fun

When it comes to choosing the right swim school for your little ones, Happy Fish Swim School stands out as a premier choice in Singapore. You can trust me on this because my two-year-old daughter has been taking swimming lessons at Happy Fish Downtown East for the past year. What sets them apart is their commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment for infants and toddlers. One of their key distinctions is the use of bleach-free, kid-friendly water, ensuring your child’s health and comfort throughout their swimming journey.

Happy Fish Swim School boasts multiple branches across the island, each equipped with both indoor heated pools and engaging outdoor activities. This combination allows for year-round swimming lessons, regardless of weather conditions. The indoor pools offer a warm and controlled environment for the little swimmers, while the outdoor activities add an element of excitement to their aquatic experience.

Happy Fish Swim Fest: A celebration of milestones

In line with their mission to encourage and motivate little swimmers, on the 29th of July 2023, Happy Fish Swim School organised its first-ever Happy Fish Swim Fest at the Happy Fish Home@Bedok branch. This exciting event was dedicated to celebrating the achievements of infant and toddler student swimmers and inspiring all kids to embrace the vital life skill of swimming.

Joined in by 24 zealous participants, the Swim Fest featured an array of curated activities designed specifically for the little ones to enjoy. From games and water-based challenges to playful exercises, there were several activities for the kids to enjoy.

Each participating child received a well-deserved certificate of accomplishment, recognising their progress and efforts in mastering this essential skill. Furthermore, parents received a special edition tee, allowing them to commemorate this special moment with their little swimmers. We had a chance to get first-hand feedback from some of the participants.

“Today was such an amazing day for both my child and me! We had a blast at the event, it turned out to be such a wonderful experience. It was a great chance for me to watch my little one’s progress up close. Honestly, the event was really special, and I think they should totally do it again in the future. My child got so motivated by it, and it’s definitely boosting their growth and skills. I’m so thankful for opportunities like this that make my child’s learning journey positive and successful. Big shoutout to Happy Fish for organizing such a fantastic event!” shared Ou Bai Lu’s parents. Ou Bai Lu is 1 year 10 months old, an Infant swimmer who has been going to Happy Fish for swim lessons since 2022.

Jaron Lai, who is 4 years and 7 months old, has been a part of the Happy Fish community since 2019, attending swim lessons in the Toddlers group. His parents also shared their joy and satisfaction after the event.

“The Swim Fest was an enriching experience. It offered insights into my child’s swimming progress and boosted our sense of pride and accomplishment. The event’s organization and the welcoming atmosphere created by the Happy Fish team made it even more enjoyable. The camaraderie among parents added an extra layer of warmth. I look forward to attending more such events in the future.”
