Biotherm launches in Singapore with a fresh take on ‘skin fitness’

0 0

Between finding time for a workout, drinking enough water and trying to get a decent night’s sleep, wellness can feel like a routine of its own. Skincare often sits somewhere alongside it, squeezed into a few minutes before we leave the house or turn in for the night. Biotherm’s arrival in Singapore brings these habits together through a concept it calls “Skin Fitness”.

The French skincare brand officially launched here on 15 October 2026, introducing an approach that treats caring for our skin as part of looking after ourselves. Leading the line-up is its Aquasource+ Electrolyte Dewy Gel, a lightweight moisturiser that takes an ingredient familiar from sports drinks and brings it into the skincare conversation.

What does ‘skin fitness’ mean?

Biotherm’s philosophy draws a connection between the attention we give our bodies and the care we give our skin. Just as exercise and nutrition form part of a regular wellness routine, the brand encourages consumers to make skincare a consistent daily habit.

Founded in 1952 by Jeanine Marissal, Biotherm combines its heritage in aquatic biotechnology with ingredients inspired by the fitness world. Its Singapore launch puts hydration at the centre of that approach, with products designed to leave skin feeling fresh, comfortable and moisturised.

For anyone who already thinks about wellness in terms of everyday habits, the idea is easy to relate to. A skincare routine can be another small moment of care within the day, whether that comes after a morning shower, following a workout or before bed.

Meet the Aquasource+ Electrolyte Dewy Gel

The headline product at the launch is the Biotherm Aquasource+ Electrolyte Dewy Gel. Electrolytes are commonly associated with hydration during and after exercise, making them a fitting ingredient for the brand’s fitness-inspired positioning.

According to Biotherm, the lightweight gel delivers up to 100 hours of hydration, helping to replenish moisture while leaving skin feeling fresh, smooth and supple. That duration is a brand claim, rather than a result we have independently tested.

The gel format may appeal to those who favour a lighter-feeling moisturiser in Singapore’s warm weather. Texture is often a deciding factor when choosing something we will use every day, particularly when a morning routine also involves sunscreen and make-up. Whether this formula earns a permanent spot on the bathroom shelf will, of course, depend on individual skin needs and preferences.

A line-up that goes beyond the face

The Singapore launch also introduces several other products across facial and body care. These include the Aquasource Hyalu Plump Gel, Aquasource+ Vitamin Glow Gel and Biotherm Homme Aquapower Advanced Gel, alongside the Lait Corporel Moisturizing Body Lotion.

Together, they give consumers different entry points into the brand, whether they are exploring facial hydration or looking to give body care a little more attention. While facial serums and moisturisers tend to dominate skincare conversations, a body lotion can be just as much a part of that daily ritual. Biotherm describes aquatic biotechnology as a common thread across the range. Its broader approach pairs this with a focus on sensorial textures, recognising that how a product feels can matter when it comes to using it consistently.

Making room for skincare in everyday wellness

There is something relatable about considering skincare alongside the other things we do to feel well. The most useful routine is often one that fits naturally into our lives, with products we enjoy reaching for and habits we can maintain. Biotherm’s “Skin Fitness” concept offers that perspective, bringing a fitness-inspired identity to familiar skincare priorities such as hydration and comfort. The electrolyte gel is the attention-grabber, but the wider invitation is to give our skin a regular place in our daily care.
