Lunch Actually, Asia’s largest and first dating company, is now on Lazada and is kickstarting this launch with an engaging dating and shopping experience for singles in Singapore through a 4-part matchmaking series leading up to Valentine’s Day.

This campaign combines shopping and entertainment – shoppertainment marketing strategy, which allows the audience to purchase various Lunch Actually products and services while being directly involved in engaging and interactive content delivered by dating experts through a live streaming service on the Lazada platform, LazLive.

Through the interactive 4-part matchmaking series, viewers will follow the journey of 2 singles who are trying to find a match, and they also can be a part of the campaign by submitting their own profile for a chance to be matchmade with the featured bachelor and bachelorette.

“We are very excited to launch our matchmaking series “Match Me If You Can” while partnering up with Lazada Singapore for the first time! As Singapore’s pioneer dating service, we’ve been constantly evolving and innovating with market trends and responding to what singles want. Live-streaming has been taking off in Asia in the past year, and we believe that by adding our own matchmaking twist, we will be able to showcase our expertise and engage singles in this all-new interesting format,” said Violet Lim, CEO and Co-Founder of Lunch Actually.

The “Match Me If You Can” Series will be packaged in 4 episodes with different content every week, featuring Lunch Actually’s CEO and other certified dating coaches. During each live-stream, they will also be spilling dating tips and secrets on various topics such as How to Win on Dating Apps, Building Attraction, Image and Grooming, and First Date Guide! Viewers can grab free vouchers throughout the stream which can be applied and redeemed directly on the Lazada app.

“The goal of the campaign is also to provide useful insights through trendy, engaging and informative content for singles to help them succeed in their dating journey to find the right one. At the same time, it allows them to grab the best deals that will appear during the live-stream,” Violet added.

First matchmaking show on Lazada

Lunch Actually’s “Match Me If You Can” Series on the LazLive platform will be the first matchmaking campaign to be conducted LIVE and utilising audience engagement. The series will come in four continuous episodes, which provide an overview of the dating preparation process from beginning to the end. In the first episode which was aired on 17th January 2021 at 9pm, viewers saw video profiles of two featured singles where they could propose to be matched.

“In the next episode, the dating experts will share the top matches for each single out of all submissions received, and why they choose them. Viewers can be a part of the process by voting for their favourite submission and sharing their views on each possible match. The following episodes will follow the singles on their preparation for their first date – from wardrobe audit to conversation skills,” Violet explained.

“Livestreaming is the next frontier for interactivity and gamification, and we are heartened to see the platform being used in creative ways to excite – or perhaps even matchmake, in this case – shoppers. We are fully committed to supporting businesses in their digitalisation efforts,” she added.

Upcoming three episodes of Lunch Actually’s Live Matchmaking Series are scheduled to air on 27th January (9pm), 3rd February (9pm), and 10th February 2021 (7pm) on LazLive.
