Topicrem brings two moisture-first cleansing oils to Singapore for dry and sensitive skin

For anyone dealing with dry, tight or easily irritated skin, the problem may begin before the moisturiser even comes out. Cleansing is often treated as the most functional part of a skincare routine, something to complete quickly before moving on to serums, creams and treatments. However, a cleanser that leaves the skin feeling stripped or uncomfortable can undermine everything that follows, particularly for people with sensitive, very dry or eczema-prone skin.

French dermocosmetic brand Topicrem is putting the focus back on this overlooked step with the Singapore launch of two new products: the Ultra-Moisturising Shower Oil and the DA Protect Replenishing Cleansing Oil. Both are designed to cleanse while supporting hydration, skin comfort and the protective barrier, although each serves a slightly different need.

A gentler approach to the everyday shower

Singapore’s hot and humid climate may not seem like an obvious setting for dry skin, but daily exposure to air conditioning, frequent showers and environmental stressors can still leave the skin feeling tight or uncomfortable.

For people with sensitive skin, the choice of body cleanser can make a noticeable difference. Harsh cleansing agents may remove not only dirt and sweat but also some of the natural oils that help the skin retain moisture. Topicrem’s new cleansing oils are intended to turn the shower into a more nourishing first step rather than something the skin needs to recover from afterwards.

“At Topicrem, we believe healthy skin starts with the right cleanse,” said Jihyo Kim, Brand Manager of Topicrem. She added that the new products were developed to address different levels of dryness while delivering the comfort and sensorial experience consumers look for in an everyday routine.

Ultra-Moisturising Shower Oil for daily family use

The Topicrem Ultra-Moisturising Shower Oil is positioned as the more everyday option of the two. Inspired by the brand’s Ultra-Moisturising Body Milk, the silky oil transforms into a light foam when mixed with water. It is formulated with glycerin and olive oil-derived ingredients to cleanse while helping the skin hold on to moisture.

According to the brand, the product provides up to eight hours of hydration and helps reduce the feelings of tightness often associated with dry skin. It also carries Topicrem’s signature fragrance, which combines notes of Neuphar, lily and cedar.

The shower oil can be used on both the face and body and is suitable for babies, children and adults. This makes it a practical shared bathroom product for families who prefer one gentle cleanser that can work across different age groups. It has been tested under dermatological, ophthalmological and paediatric controls.

DA Protect for very dry and eczema-prone skin

The DA Protect Replenishing Cleansing Oil is designed for skin that needs more specialised support, including very dry, sensitive and atopic-prone skin. Its sulphate-free formula combines linseed oil and camelina oil, which are naturally rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, with glycerin and allantoin. Together, these ingredients are intended to nourish the skin, soothe discomfort linked to dryness and reinforce its protective barrier.

The formula is also described as microbiome-friendly, meaning it has been developed to respect the skin’s natural balance rather than cleanse too aggressively. The DA Protect oil can be used across the face, body, scalp and external intimate areas. It is suitable for babies, children and adults and has been tested on atopic skin under dermatological, paediatric, gynaecological and ophthalmological controls.

The product has also been tested and approved by members of the French Eczema Association. While skincare products should not be seen as a replacement for medical advice or prescribed treatment, a gentle cleanser can be an important part of managing a routine for skin that is prone to dryness, irritation or discomfort.

Try the new launches at the Guardian Health & Beauty Fiesta

Topicrem will showcase both products at the Guardian Health & Beauty Fiesta 2026, taking place at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre from 16 to 19 July 2026. The event will run from 3pm to 10pm on 16 July and from 10am to 10pm from 17 to 19 July.

Visitors will be able to explore the textures of both cleansing oils, receive skincare recommendations and take part in several activities at the Topicrem booth. These include a Scoop & Glow Station offering travel-sized sachets with purchases and a customisable keychain station for shoppers purchasing a Topicrem shower oil on 16 or 18 July.

Promotions during the event include 20 per cent off storewide and 30 per cent off with the purchase of two or more Topicrem products. Shoppers who spend at least S$50 can receive a Topicrem tote bag, while those spending S$80 or more can receive a hair band and towel set. Gifts and activities are subject to availability and the applicable terms and conditions.

Where to find Topicrem in Singapore

The Topicrem Ultra-Moisturising Shower Oil and DA Protect Replenishing Cleansing Oil will be available through Guardian, Watsons and Shopee in Singapore. For those whose skin regularly feels tight after a shower, the new launches offer a useful reminder that body care does not necessarily begin with lotion. Sometimes, the biggest difference comes from choosing a cleanser that leaves the skin feeling comfortable before the rest of the routine has even started.
