There is always that one point during the June holidays when every parent starts asking the same question: what do we do with the kids today? This year, once again, UOL Malls has a very solid answer. U-CAMP at United Square and Urban Beat at Velocity@Novena Square are all set for the school holidays, bringing together a packed line-up of workshops, sports activities, creative sessions, retail perks and family-friendly experiences.
U-CAMP runs at United Square from 29 May to 12 July 2026, while Urban Beat takes place at Velocity@Novena Square from 29 May to 5 July 2026.

As a mum, I am always looking for activities that are not just “something to fill time”, but experiences that let kids try something new. So far, I have already taken Divisha to United Square for Jiu-Jitsu at The Gentle Art and the Creative Nesting Doll Painting Workshop at Hua Language Centre, as well as pickleball at Velocity@Novena Square.
Each one offered something different. Jiu-Jitsu gave her a chance to move, listen and build confidence. The nesting doll workshop was creative and calm in the best way. Pickleball was just pure fun, especially for kids who love running around and trying a new sport.

And we are not done yet. We will be heading back to United Square soon for the KPop Demon Hunters One Year Anniversary Pop-Up, which is happening from 19 June to 12 July 2026.
UOL Malls bring a holiday line-up that goes beyond “keeping kids busy”
What makes U-CAMP and Urban Beat useful for families is the variety. Whether your child is sporty, musical, creative, curious or simply full of energy, there is likely something in the line-up that fits.
At United Square, children can try art jamming with Tree Art, beginner chess sessions with Chess at Three, coding and robotics with Futurum Academy and Chinese craft workshops with Hua Language Centre. Lorna Whiston is also running its Write Up! Speak Up! workshop, designed to help children build confidence in writing, speaking and self-expression.
For kids who prefer hands-on learning, these workshops are a nice way to introduce them to new interests without committing to a full-term class. It is also a great chance for parents to see what their child naturally gravitates towards.
For kids who need to move
The sports and movement activities are a big part of the UOL Malls holiday programme too. At United Square, The Gentle Art introduces children to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while SBA Basketball Clinic offers sessions focused on vertical training, speed, reaction and landing mechanics. Smigy Playground also offers play access for younger children who simply need space to burn off some energy.
Over at Velocity@Novena Square, Urban Beat brings in an active mix of experiences. Fight Zone is running Muay Thai and self-defence sessions for kids and teens. Climb Central offers entry passes, registration and equipment rental for participants above five years old. Yoga Edition has adult-focused sessions including pilates, hot pilates, traditional yoga, hot yoga, yogalates and gentle yoga.

Pickleball is also part of the fun at Velocity@Novena Square, with beginner workshops for children aged 7 to 12 and sessions for those above 12, including adults. Pickleball runs from 17 to 21 June at the Outdoor Court, with workshops and free public play during non-workshop timings.
Music, skincare and family-friendly discovery
For music lovers, Aureus Academy and Mandeville Conservatory of Music are offering sessions in drums, piano and ukulele at United Square. At Velocity@Novena Square, Believer Music is running hands-on introductions to electric guitar, acoustic guitar and drums for participants above eight years old, including adults.
There is also something a little different for older kids and parents at UOL Malls. AsterSpring’s Skincare Fundamentals workshop is designed as a guided routine for one parent and one child, suitable for ages 11 to 18. It is a sweet option for tweens and teens who are starting to become more aware of self-care and skincare basics.
The KPop Demon Hunters pop-up is coming to United Square
One of the big highlights this season is the Singapore-exclusive KPop Demon Hunters One Year Anniversary Pop-Up at United Square. Taking place from 19 June to 12 July 2026 at the Main Atrium, B1, the pop-up will feature new merchandise, purchase-with-purchase deals, appearances by Huntrix and Saja Boys cosplayers, kids’ hair styling, face painting activities and photo opportunities.
For families planning a visit, this is a nice add-on to the workshops. You can let the kids attend an activity, grab a meal, shop a little and then visit the pop-up as part of the same outing.
Shop, eat and make a day of it at UOL Malls
One thing I personally like about United Square is that it is easy to turn a workshop visit into a full family outing. There are plenty of F&B and retail options around, so you can plan lunch, coffee or errands around your child’s activity.
Parents looking to buy footwear for their kids should also check out Bata at United Square. The store has an amazing line-up of Disney shoes and sandals, which is especially useful if your child needs new everyday shoes, school holiday sandals or something fun for weekend outings.
Spend-and-redeem perks for U-POPP members at both UOL Malls
Both U-CAMP and Urban Beat also come with spend-and-redeem rewards for U-POPP members. At United Square, shoppers who spend a minimum of S$120 in up to three same-day receipts can redeem a S$10 shopping e-voucher of their choice. Shoppers who spend S$60 in up to three same-day receipts can purchase two workshop passes at S$10 or S$20 each.
For the KPop Demon Hunters One Year Anniversary Pop-Up, shoppers who spend a minimum of S$30 in a single receipt can redeem a kids’ hair styling or face painting e-pass. With a minimum spend of S$60, shoppers can also purchase the exclusive Folding Umbrella Derpy at S$10 during the pop-up period from 19 June to 12 July. The umbrella has a retail price of S$30.

Programme highlights to look out for
At United Square, families can explore workshops and activities such as Write Up! Speak Up! by Lorna Whiston, coding and robotics by Futurum Academy, Chinese craft workshops by Hua Language Centre, basketball clinics by SBA Basketball, Jiu-Jitsu by The Gentle Art, art jamming by Tree Art, music sessions by Aureus Academy and Mandeville Conservatory of Music, chess by Chess at Three, skincare fundamentals by AsterSpring and Smigy Playground access.
At Velocity@Novena Square, the Urban Beat line-up includes music workshops by Believer Music, Muay Thai and self-defence by Fight Zone, climbing at Climb Central, adult yoga and pilates sessions by Yoga Edition and pickleball workshops for kids and adults. The age ranges vary by activity, with options for toddlers, younger kids, tweens, teens and adults, so it is worth checking the schedule before planning your visit.
Why this is worth checking out
The best part about U-CAMP and Urban Beat is that they make the mall visit feel purposeful. Kids are not just walking around or asking for snacks every five minutes. They are painting, climbing, playing, building, trying music, learning a sport or discovering something completely new.
For parents, it is also convenient. You can combine a workshop with a meal, shopping, errands or a pop-up visit, which makes the whole experience feel manageable during the school holidays.
After trying a few of the activities with Divisha at both the UOL Malls, I can honestly say this is one of those holiday line-ups that works because it gives kids real variety. Some sessions are active, some are creative, some are skill-based and some are simply fun. That is exactly what the school holidays should feel like.
