From mermaid dreams to confident strokes: How Happy Fish helped my daughter swim like a star

0 0

We recently did the most magical mermaid-themed photo shoot for our daughter Divisha complete with a shimmering tail, seashell hair clips, and all the under-the-sea vibes you can imagine. But what made it truly special? She swam across the pool like a natural, gliding confidently in her mermaid costume as if she’d been doing it forever.

Happy Fish

Watching her in that moment, poised, fearless, and full of joy, brought back memories of when she first dipped her toes into the water. Divisha started swimming lessons at Happy Fish Swim School when she was just one. Back then, she was a curious toddler learning to float and paddle. Today, at just four years old, she’s already acing backstroke and freestyle, and her confidence in the water is nothing short of inspiring.

And we have Happy Fish to thank for that.

Why we love Happy Fish

From the very beginning, the coaches at Happy Fish have been nurturing, patient, and incredibly well-trained. They tailor their approach to each child’s pace and comfort level ensuring swimming is never something to be feared, but something to love. The indoor heated pools are a huge plus (especially during rainy weeks), and the class sizes are small, allowing for plenty of personalised attention.

What we appreciate most is that they focus on water confidence first, not just technique. That foundation has made all the difference for Divisha. Whether she’s floating on her back, kicking into freestyle, or just having fun with water toys, there’s no hesitation, only joy.

Class structure and fees

Happy Fish offers lessons for babies as young as four months, toddlers, kids and even adults — making it a family-friendly choice for everyone. Class fees start from $32 per session, and you can choose from weekly group lessons or go for more personalised options. Their website offers full transparency on their fee structure and class types, check it out here.

Our verdict?

We honestly cannot recommend Happy Fish Swim School enough. Whether your little one is just learning to splash or ready to swim like a mermaid, the team at Happy Fish will guide them every step (or stroke!) of the way.
