As a toddler mum, I know all too well how chaotic school holidays can get. Between keeping my daughter off screens, finding engaging (and affordable) activities, and still managing my own work-life juggle, the “holiday” can feel anything but restful. That’s why I’m genuinely excited about the new U-Camp Holiday Workshops happening across UOL’s family-friendly malls this June.
From 30 May to 6 July 2025, UOL Malls — KINEX, United Square and Velocity@Novena Square — will host a lineup of thoughtfully curated holiday workshops that go far beyond your average enrichment class.
These sessions are about self-discovery, creative exploration, and helping kids build confidence, all while having fun.
These workshops are designed to nurture your child’s interests and strengths
U-Camp’s programmes span an impressive variety of disciplines — from music and martial arts to robotics, art, dance and even cooking. Whether your child is 2 or 17, there’s something age-appropriate and passion-driven waiting for them.
At KINEX, little ones can get creative with art jamming at Tree Art or join hands-on cooking fun with Little Cook, which welcomes children as young as 2 years old — and yes, parents can join in too! Budding musicians will love the beginner drum classes at Fine Momentum Academy, while creative minds can try sneaker painting with MurcyArt or game design workshops at The Lab. For active kids, there’s also K-pop dance, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and even a PSLE Mastery class for upper primary learners.
Over at United Square, there’s a strong blend of academics and imagination. Kids can explore coding and robotics with Futurum Academy, practise their Mandarin through butterfly painting at Hua Language Centre, and get strategic with chess classes by Chess at Three. There are also creative writing workshops, ukulele lessons, and even a skincare fundamentals workshop by Asterspring designed for parent-child bonding.
At Velocity@Novena Square, the focus shifts to movement and active learning. Kids and teens can take part in Muay Thai classes, try out beginner-friendly climbing sessions at Climb Central, and jam out with Believer Music’s hands-on guitar and drum intros. For sporty types, there’s also pickleball — a fun way to try something new while staying active.
There’s a simple and rewarding way to take part in the programme
Joining the U-Camp experience is straightforward for U-POPP members. Simply spend a minimum of $60 at any participating UOL Mall to redeem up to two workshop passes, with a small top-up of $10–$20 depending on the activity. The more you spend, the more perks you unlock — including a limited-edition 500ml tumbler with $120 spent or a $10 UOL e-voucher when you hit $180.
There’s also a bonus for OCBC MyOwn Debit Card users — double the POPPoints on eligible purchases. It’s a nice little boost that makes it even more worthwhile for families who plan to shop and play.

It’s about more than just filling time — it’s about growing through play
What makes U-Camp truly special is that it meets children where they are. Whether your child thrives on physical movement, artistic expression, or hands-on problem solving, these workshops give them the space to explore, express and enjoy without pressure.
As a parent, I deeply appreciate experiences that are both joyful and meaningful — and that’s what this is. Watching your child try something new and grow in confidence? That’s the kind of holiday memory that sticks.
