Start the Lunar New Year on on a squeaky clean note as Singapore’s premier French bakery Tiong Bahru Bakery—beloved for its handcrafted, artisanal bakes saturating the streets with mouthwatering whiffs of only the best French butter and flour since 2012—launches Brioche N°5, the first brioche-inspired hand wash in Singapore that brings the delicious smell of a bakery into homes.
Featuring a cruelty-free formula made using small-batch ingredients, Tiong Bahru Bakery teamed up with local craft fragrance house Oo La Lab to create the unique scent of freshly baked bread to be distilled into the first-of-its kind, made- in-Singapore, signature brioche handwash for the bakery brand.
“It is no secret that the aroma of freshly baked bread is one of the most wonderful smells in the world,” shares Cynthia Chua, Founder & Chairman of Spa Esprit Group – the parent company behind Tiong Bahru Bakery.
“As we zero in on our efforts to expand our bakery’s boulangerie offerings, Brioche N°5 is a novel way of bottling up all that buttery goodness in a treat for the senses, and a cheeky nod to one of the most iconic perfumes in the world.”
The delectable hand wash leaves behind an inviting fragrance of a bakery comprising key notes of vanilla, caramel and pineapple. Vanilla underscores the fragrance to invoke feelings of comfort that are commonly associated with childhood, with complementary notes of caramel coming together to create a popcorn-like memory which evokes the familiarity of communal spirit. A tinge of pineapple lends a zip of zing and tanginess, providing a refreshing and energising finish to a pair of thoroughly cleansed hands.
Brioche N°5 is the second in a line of novelty hand wash by Tiong Bahru Bakery. The French bakery previously introduced a minty-fresh ‘Chewing Gum’ Spearmint Blend Essential Oil Hand Wash in 2017, which has since garnered its own cult following.

Chinese New Year Special: Exotic Pineapple Cheesecake
Trade in the Mandarin oranges for a sweeter treat of French persuasion this Chinese New Year with Tiong Bahru Bakery’s festive special, a Exotic Pineapple Cheesecake.
Carefully handcrafted with a coconut sponge cake base, layered with a baked cheesecake centre and coated with a Valrhona white chocolate and flecks of almond crumble; a yuzu and pineapple confit sphere sit atop, surrounded by a crown of coconut and lime chantilly cream studded with fresh pineapples.
Exotic Pineapple Cheesecake is available for retail at S$9.50++ at all Tiong Bahru Bakery outlets from 10th to 15th February.
