New Zealand-based essano, a cruelty-free, totally natural skincare brand recently launched their all-new Collagen Boost range and were kind enough to mail over samples for me to try and share honest reviews with you guys. Before I get into details, let me just say that if you have dry, mature skin, this is the brand for you!
I turned 30 this year and have been on a lookout for something collagen-based for a while now as you know that our skin’s production of collagen begins to slow down in the late 20s. I am all for ageing gracefully and I do not endorse “the idea of looking younger than you are” but our skin’s needs eveolve with time, and they need extra care and nourishment with age, which I definitely support.
The new essano™ range comes with Collagen Boost Night Crème and Collagen Boost Serum, a Day Crème, Facial Oil, Overnight Mask and Eye Crème. The Collagen boost range is a skincare regime that is enriched with powerful ingredients such as Rosehip Oil, Schisandra Chinesis Berry Oil and Plant Peptides that stimulate the cells in the skin to increase collagen production. The products also include the usage of selected plant-based extracts – clinically proven to improve elasticity and firmness.
My personal favourite is the Eye Crème, which is priced at $29.90. It visibly reduced the appearance of dark circles considerably and I could see the results in just two weeks. The Day Creme has a very subtle and pleasant natural scent and absorbs instantly into the skin, leaving no greasy residue or tackiness. I have extermely dry skin and it worked wonders for me.
The night mask is also good. It did not feel heavy on the face and I could see the difference in my skin within. 4-5 applications.
