Looking for a quick escape without committing to a full cruise holiday? World Legacy is welcoming guests from Singapore and Johor Bahru with international dining, live entertainment, overnight stays and limited-time introductory offers. Sometimes, a change of scenery is all you need. A leisurely meal, uninterrupted sea views and perhaps a night away from the city’s usual routine can make even a short getaway feel like a holiday. That is the idea behind the newly relaunched World Legacy, a floating lifestyle destination by World Cruises that offers travellers an alternative to conventional port-to-port cruises.

Following an extensive refit and return-to-service programme in Singapore, the vessel resumed operations on 22 August 2026. World Cruises has now announced its official relaunch from Singapore and its debut in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru, giving guests in both locations access to the experience through scheduled ferry transfers. Whether you prefer a few hours at sea, a full day of dining and entertainment or an overnight escape, World Legacy offers several ways to plan your visit.

Two departure points, one floating getaway

World Legacy

One of the highlights of the relaunch is that World Legacy can now welcome guests travelling from both Singapore and Johor. For Singapore travellers, access is available through scheduled ferry services from the newly launched HarbourFront terminal, operated by World Cruises’ partner ferry operators. Multiple round-trip transfers are available daily. Across the border, the Johor launch marks the first time guests can board directly from Iskandar Puteri. Scheduled ferry transfers depart from Puteri Harbour Cruise Centre, with multiple services operating throughout the day.

Unlike a traditional cruise that follows a fixed itinerary between ports, World Legacy is designed as a destination in itself. Guests travel to the vessel and can choose how long they wish to stay, from a day visit to an overnight or multi-day getaway. For those looking for a different way to spend a weekend, it offers the opportunity to enjoy a change of surroundings without planning a conventional cruise holiday.

What’s waiting onboard World Legacy?

The current relaunch introduces a selection of dining, entertainment and accommodation experiences, with more facilities scheduled to open progressively over the coming months. For visitors who want to stay overnight, the vessel has approximately 300 cabins across several configurations. These include cosy two-person cabins, larger rooms suitable for families and groups, ocean-view options and selected VIP suites offering additional space and privacy.

Open-air areas also provide opportunities to enjoy the sea views and spend some time away from the city. The ship is currently operating with a selected range of experiences rather than its complete planned offering. Additional dining, entertainment, leisure and recreational facilities are expected to be introduced in October and November 2026.

International dining with a view of the sea

Food is a central part of the World Legacy experience. The upgraded international buffet features a rotating selection of Asian and international dishes, catering to couples, families and groups looking to enjoy a meal together while spending time at sea. Meals are included in selected packages, including the current promotional offers, making it easier for guests to plan their visit without arranging separate dining reservations.

Important to know: All dining options onboard World Legacy are non-halal. Guests with specific dietary requirements should check the available options before booking.

From relaxed afternoons to lively evenings

While daytime onboard is centred around dining, sea views and relaxation, the atmosphere becomes livelier in the evening. The Grand Hall on Deck 3 hosts daily entertainment, including live music, dance, karaoke and other performances. Guests can spend their afternoon enjoying a meal or exploring the open-air areas before settling in for an evening of entertainment.

World Cruises has also announced plans to expand its entertainment programme in October and November, bringing additional experiences onboard as the relaunch progresses.

Singapore and Johor launch offers

To mark the relaunch of World Legacy from Singapore, World Cruises is offering a limited-time promotional fare of S$28 per person. The package includes round-trip scheduled ferry transfers, one-day access to the vessel, meals during the visit and daily onboard entertainment. Guests who take the last scheduled ferry to World Legacy and return on the first scheduled ferry the following morning can also stay onboard overnight, with accommodation included as part of the promotional fare. The offer is subject to availability, ferry schedules and applicable terms and conditions.

Meanwhile, Malaysian guests can take advantage of an introductory RM48 per person offer (available until stocks last) to celebrate World Legacy’s debut in Iskandar Puteri. The package includes round-trip scheduled ferry transfers from Puteri Harbour Cruise Centre, one-day access to World Legacy, meals and daily onboard entertainment. Guests choosing the last scheduled ferry to the vessel and the first scheduled ferry back the following morning can also stay overnight, with accommodation included.

Together, the two promotions give guests in Singapore and Johor a relatively easy way to experience World Legacy without committing to a conventional multi-day cruise, whether they are planning a day out at sea or a short overnight escape.

A new option for a quick escape

For Singapore residents planning a weekend activity and Johor travellers looking for something beyond the usual city attractions, World Legacy introduces a different kind of leisure experience. The appeal lies in its flexibility. Visitors can enjoy the sea views, buffet and entertainment without having to commit to a multi-day cruise, while those wanting a longer break can choose to stay overnight.

With more onboard experiences set to arrive over the coming months, the current relaunch is only the first phase of World Cruises’ plans for the vessel. For now, the combination of dining, live entertainment and accommodation offers another way to turn an ordinary day off into a getaway at sea.
