Embark on a journey of discovery and education with Leo the Lion

The Ritz-Carlton, known for its unwavering commitment to luxury and excellence, is set to elevate family travel experiences across the Asia-Pacific region. The renowned hotel brand, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive portfolio, introduces an evolved Ritz Kids program. Geared towards young guests aged 4 to 12, this immersive program is designed to inspire, educate, and create lasting memories.

Leo the Lion takes centre stage

The heart of this evolved program lies in its enchanting new mascot, Leo the Lion. Leo is more than just a character; he’s the guide to a world of wonders, encouraging young guests to explore nature, discover diverse cultures, and embrace mindful interactions. Leo is set to make appearances in key cities such as Tokyo, Singapore, and Perth, as well as in leisure destinations like Bali, Maldives, and Langkawi.

John Toomey, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Marriott International Asia Pacific, shared his excitement about this milestone, stating, “As Ritz Kids celebrates its 10-year journey, we are excited to embrace the ever-changing needs of family travellers and evolve this exceptional program to offer even more fun-filled and educational activities to nurture the next generation of world travellers’ lifelong curiosity in exploring and engaging with the world around them.”

Meaningful and educational adventures

The Ritz Kids program revolves around four pillars of experiences: nature, exploration, responsibility, and culture. From check-in to check-out, young guests were welcomed with Leo the Lion-themed amenities, including colouring books and discovery maps. These tools set the stage for a journey of discovery that goes beyond the confines of the hotel room.

Mr Shashank Bhardwaj, Qatar Airways Vice President of Catering Services, shared: “At The Ritz-Carlton, families will discover a world brimming with opportunities, where young guests are not just welcomed but truly celebrated.”

A glimpse into the adventure

1. Appreciating Nature:

  • At The Ritz-Carlton, Bali, participate in a meaningful turtle release program.
  • The Ritz-Carlton Maldives leads young guests to discover the micro world of marine organisms.

2. Exploring the World:

  • Craft Explorer’s Binoculars at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.
  • Young guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi, learn about native flora and fauna in the mangroves.

3. Fostering Responsibility:

  • Participate in tree adoptions for environmental protection at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi.
  • Young guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo, engage in responsibilities alongside the hotel’s staff.

4. Discovering Local Culture:

  • Learn Sanshin, Okinawa’s traditional guitar, at The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa.
  • Engage in a Boduberu (Maldivian drum) masterclass at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands.

Ritz Kids night safari – An exciting upgrade

A highlight of the Ritz Kids program is the Night Safari experience, which received a thrilling upgrade. A tent set up within the guest room or suite, complete with eco-friendly ‘camping accessories,’ transforms the night into a magical adventure. Outdoor stargazing, movie nights, and nighttime dessert bars add an extra layer of excitement.

As Leo the Lion invites young guests to embark on this whimsical journey, The Ritz-Carlton continues to redefine luxury hospitality, ensuring that families create cherished memories that last a lifetime.
