Lantern Making Workshop and Lantern Walk

Date: 9 and 10 Sep 2022 Time: 5.30 pm and 7 pm Venue: B1 Fountain Square

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival happening in September, there will also be cultural activities curated for shoppers to immerse in and embark on a cultural journey! Lantern Making Workshops will be conducted on 9 and 10 September 2022, at 5.30 pm and 7 pm each day. Redemption of passes for this workshop and walk will start on 2 September 2022 at the L2 Customer Service Counter, with $50 spent at the mall. Limited to 30 slots per session.

Participants will get to make their own eco-lantern using recycled materials and showcase their creations during the lantern walk. Participants can also look forward to $100 worth of goodies after the lantern walk from NTUC FairPrice, Golden Village, McDonald’s, Undercover Chocolate Quinoa Crisps and Youguth Probiotics.

Alternatively, one can enjoy traditional arts and crafts at booths which offer Chinese calligraphy and paper cutting. Shoppers will get to watch how it is done and even get to bring home a memento! There will also be a dragon beard candy booth for those who want to indulge in a traditional snack! These 3 activities are open to all and no registration or redemption is required.

T-Shirt Bag Upcycling Workshop

Date: 4 Sep 2022 Time: 11am and 1pm Venue: L1 Atrium

Staying in line with their sustainability efforts, City Square Mall is partnering with Greensquare to conduct a T-Shirt Bag Upcycling Workshop. Come down with your old t-shirt and learn how to upcycle your old t-shirts into a stylish bag! No registration is required for this workshop.

Huge Indoor Playground during Singapore Design Week 2022

Date: 16 Sep – 9 Oct 2022 Time: 10am – 10pm

Beyond the September holidays, shoppers can also anticipate an exciting event coming up at City Square Mall! As the key location for “Re-Route”, a design festival that immerses visitors in alternate storytelling of the site through experiences, art installations and programmes. Developed by Plus Collaboratives and supported by Singapore Tourism Board and Design Singapore Council, “Re-Route” aims to get people to detour from their usual routes to explore the district with a new perspective. During Singapore Design Week 2022 between 16 September to 9 October 2022, City Square Mall Fountain Square located at B1 will be transformed into a huge indoor playground of discovery and exploration, where the new, novel and odd sprout out. Designed to pique interests and inspire wonderment – an invitation to wander and play!

This continual playground will provide ceaseless entertainment for the whole family! This is perfect for families with children who are looking to get active while festive goers can also go for a spin at the gigantic Gachapon Machine located in the open area along Kitchener Link to discover more about Little India!

PAW Patrol Rescue Knights Bouncy Castle 

Dates: 3 – 11 Sep 2022
Time: 11am – 8pm
Venue: L1 Atrium

There is the much-loved PAW Patrol Rescue Knights bouncy castle available daily for the little ones to have endless bouncing fun! This bouncy castle is available for the first time in Singapore and shoppers with spending receipt(s) of every $10 can enjoy a 10-min play session by redeeming a pass at the bouncy castle station. Limited to 2 passes per redemption.

PAW Patrol Meet and Greet Sessions 

Dates: 3, 4, 10 and 11 Sep 2022
Time: 1pm and 4pm
Venue: L1 Atrium

PAW Patrol is on a meet and greet tour in Singapore and dropping by City Square Mall to say hello to the fans. For families with young children who want a more up-close and personal encounter with PAW Patrol, there will be Meet and Greet sessions where children will get to snap a photo with Chase and Rubble! No spending is required and passes will be given out 30 minutes prior to each session for the first 30 families.
