As a mum of a five-year-old, I have learnt that there are some Singapore experiences children never seem to tire of. The Singapore Cable Car is definitely one of them. We have taken the ride several times, but the excitement is still very much there every single time. There is something about stepping into a cabin, rising above the skyline and spotting Sentosa from the sky that continues to feel like a mini adventure.
With the June school holidays here, there is now another reason to hop aboard. The Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure Presented by Singapore Cable Car has been refreshed with new starter Pokémon-themed cabins, hidden UV surprises and collectible silhouette cards for guests to discover along the journey.
Running from 30 May 2026 to 21 January 2027, the experience brings together Pokémon from all nine regions, making it a fun holiday outing for young fans, parents who grew up with Pokémon and anyone who enjoys a scenic ride with a playful twist.
Travel across nine Pokémon regions in the sky
The refreshed experience introduces nine new starter Pokémon-themed cabins on the Mount Faber Line, which runs from Mount Faber Peak to Sentosa.
The cabin themes span all nine Pokémon regions, beginning with Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle from Kanto and extending to Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly from Paldea. Across a total of 18 cabins, there are only two cabins representing each region.
Each cabin is designed around its respective starter Pokémon trio, with themed details extending to the floors and seats. Guests can also look out for fun facts about each starter Pokémon during the ride.
For children, it adds a simple element of surprise to the journey. You may not know which themed cabin you will step into until it arrives at the station. For long-time Pokémon fans, it is also a chance to spot familiar favourites while discovering newer characters from different regions.
Stay until after dark for the UV experience
The adventure takes on a different look at night.
Guests can use a UV torch inside the cabins to reveal the different evolutions of the starter Pokémon and uncover hidden details that are not visible during the day.
The original five Pokémon-themed cabin designs, which were first introduced when the experience launched in November 2025, will also continue to operate during the same period. These cabins feature Charmander, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Gengar and Eevee on their exteriors.
After dark, the Pokémon reappear as glowing UV-reactive silhouettes. Guests can also search for hidden flying-type Pokémon, including Charizard, Pidgeot, Gyarados, Aerodactyl and Dragonite.
There is even a rarer surprise for those who are determined to keep looking: Mew makes a mysterious appearance somewhere among the cable car cabins.
Pick up a Pokémon collectible silhouette card
All Mount Faber Line cable car ticket holders will receive a complimentary Pokémon collectible silhouette card, while stocks last.
The Poké Ball-themed cards feature Pokémon such as Charizard, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Gengar, Lapras, Ditto, Eevee, Snorlax and Dragonite. There are nine designs available.
Guests can hold their card against the skyline during the ride to capture a photo of their favourite Pokémon against the scenic views from the Singapore Cable Car. It is a simple interactive touch and a cute keepsake to take home after the journey.
Look out for photo spots at Mount Faber Peak
The experience continues beyond the cabins. At Mount Faber Peak, guests can find photo points featuring starter Pokémon from the Kanto region, set against scenic backdrops.
This makes it easy to turn the cable car ride into a relaxed family outing. Families can enjoy the views, explore the themed cabins and stop for a few photos before heading onwards to Sentosa or back towards Mount Faber Peak.
