There are media previews that feel like a quick walkthrough. And then there are the ones that turn into core memories.
When we stepped into the Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure media preview on the Singapore Cable Car, I was honestly expecting a cute, festive refresh of what we saw back in 2023. What I didn’t expect was to end up squealing in disbelief because we found Mew almost immediately. First cabin. First ride. No dramatic build-up. Just pure, chaotic luck.
And in that moment, suspended mid-air above the greenery of Mount Faber, it hit me how much this whole experience had evolved since our first Pokémon cable car ride two years ago. Back then, in 2023, we were charmed by the novelty of stepping into a themed cabin for the festive season. This year, it feels like the Singapore Cable Car team has taken that idea and turned it into a fully immersive, multi-sensory adventure.
Pokémon is back, but this time, it’s a day to night adventure
After its massively successful 2023 run, the Pokémon themed cable car cabins are returning from 22 November 2025 to 30 April 2026 with a refreshed concept called the Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure, presented by the Singapore Cable Car.
During the day, five Pokémon take over the cabins: Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Jigglypuff and Gengar. Each cabin is customised inside and out, from the exterior wraps to the floors and seats, so stepping in really does feel like entering a floating Pokémon world. The ride takes place along the Mount Faber Line, travelling from Mount Faber Peak to Sentosa, giving visitors sweeping views of Singapore while sitting inside their favourite character’s themed space.
But the real magic happens after dark.
From 7.45pm onwards, guests receive a complimentary UV torch when they board. Once the lights dim, new Pokémon appear in glowing UV-reactive silhouettes. Alongside the original five, five hidden flying-type Pokémon reveal themselves when shone upon with the torch: Gyarados, Pidgeot, Charizard, Dragonite and Aerodactyl.
And then there’s Mew.
Mew doesn’t show up on every ride. It’s intentionally elusive, hidden in select cabins as a special surprise. It’s meant to feel like finding a mirage in the sky. Which makes our first-ride Mew sighting feel even more surreal.
A full Pokémon world at Mount Faber Peak
Beyond the cable car cabins, the experience continues at Mount Faber Peak, where larger-than-life Pokémon installations and special photo points bring the first-generation starters to life.
There is also a dedicated Pokémon photo point set against the hilltop views of Mount Faber Peak. It’s one of those spots that works as both a scenic photo stop and a quiet pause in between the excitement of hopping on and off cable cars.
Snap, tag and win with your Pokémon sightings
From 1 to 31 December 2025, visitors can also take part in the Snap, Tag & Win contest on Instagram and TikTok.
To participate:
- Snap a daytime photo or video with any Pokémon in the cable car.
- Take a nighttime photo or video with Mew inside a cabin.
- Post, tag @MountFaberLeisure and set your account to public.
There will be 25 winners selected over the month, with five winners announced each week. Each winner receives a Pokémon gift pack.
Ticket details to know before you go
For anyone planning their visit:
- A round-trip ride on the Singapore Cable Car Mount Faber Line is priced at S$33 for adults and S$22 for children aged 4 to 12.
- If your goal is to hunt for Mew multiple times, the Cable Car SkyPass with unlimited rides in a day is available at S$45 for adults and S$35 for children.
- Children aged 3 and below ride for free.
- Every Mount Faber Line cable car ticket holder will receive a complimentary Pikachu sun visor, while stocks last.
- There is also a 10% online discount when booking via Mount Faber Leisure Group’s official channels.
A full-circle moment since 2023
As I looked around our cabin, still buzzing from the Mew sighting, I couldn’t help thinking about how different this felt compared to our 2023 ride.
Back then, it was about the novelty.
This time, it feels like a continuation of a story. A Singapore festive tradition evolving with every year, adding new layers while keeping the same childlike joy at its core.
And honestly, that’s what makes this experience stand out. It’s not just for kids. It’s for anyone who grew up on Pokémon. Anyone who loves Singapore’s skyline. And anyone who wants their next family outing or date idea to be something a little more magical than just another mall or café.
