What would your child do if you put them in charge of a $100 budget? At Jumpstart by Catapult, children can find out in a money lab that gives them a simulated budget to manage. They can also try their hand at building a LEGO robot or bring a Singapore story to life on stage.

The year-end school holiday programme runs from 30 November to 4 December 2026 at Catapult, Rochester Commons. Curated by Singapore education platform Flying Cape, Jumpstart is designed for children aged 7 to 15 overall. The line-up spans four tracks covering technology and making, science and nature, arts and performance, and life and leadership. Here are a few sessions to look out for.

For children who like making decisions

At OCBC MyOwn Money Lab, children work with a simulated $100 budget and explore how to manage and grow their money. The exercise gives them a chance to make decisions about money and see how those choices affect what they have left to work with.

When · 30 November to 4 December, 2pm to 5pm

For children with a story to tell

Timeless Tales of Singapore is a theatre camp by Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Centre for Creative Learning. Children explore Singapore stories through performance, with opportunities to practise speaking, expressing ideas and building confidence on stage.

When · 30 November to 4 December, 9am to noon

For children who like to build and tinker

In FutureTech – AI and LEGO Robotics, STEM Genius introduces children to artificial intelligence and robotics through hands-on building and coding. Children get to work together and try out their ideas as they build, giving them a practical way to explore what code can do.

When · 1 and 2 December, 9.30am to noon

The wider line-up also includes interactive marketing workshops by OtterHalf. Its marketing-themed card game gives children a playful way to explore branding and how to communicate an idea.

Free activities for families

The programme also includes a separate line-up of free activities, including basketball trials by the Real Madrid Foundation and a Crayola Creativity Competition. Check Flying Cape for activity timings, age suitability and registration details.
