Curiosity is every child’s secret superpower and this September, families in Singapore have the chance to see it come alive on stage. MindChamps has teamed up with world children’s sensation Dr Emma Watkins, better known as Emma Memma and a beloved former member of The Wiggles, to present a one-of-a-kind show at the Drama Centre Theatre, National Library Singapore.
From 8 to 11 September, Dance Island Party will transform the theatre into a vibrant playground of music, dance, sign language and movement. What makes it truly special is that every performance is woven with MindChamps’ research-backed pedagogy- a blend of neuroscience, psychology, education and theatre that has been patented across the US, UK and Australia.

Engagement before education
MindChamps’ Founder and Chairman David Chiem believes that “education must light up the heart before it can shape the mind.” This philosophy is at the heart of the collaboration. The performances will bring two of MindChamps’ 10 Attributes of a MindChampion- I focus on the beauty in others and I embrace setbacks as setups, to life in ways that children can see, feel and shareMedia Release – Emma Memma Join.
For Dr Emma, who holds a PhD in integrating dance, sign language and movement into children’s media, the connection was immediate: “In my work, I have always seen music, movement and sign language not just as skills, but as ways to nurture empathy, connection and confidence. That’s the heartbeat of MindChamps too.
Beyond the stage
The experience does not end when the curtain falls. Every family attending will receive a specially designed Learning & Bonding Activity Book, packed with creative exercises to extend the joy and learning at home. This way, the show becomes more than entertainment- it’s a shared journey for parents and children alike.
A global beginning, starting in Singapore
This is not just a local performance but the launch of a travelling global edutainment series designed to ignite curiosity, nurture resilience, and cultivate empathy in children around the world. Backed by more than 25 years of MindChamps’ global research, led by renowned neuroscientist Emeritus Professor Allan Snyder, the collaboration aims to give children the Champion Mindset they need to thrive in the future.
As Chiem notes, “By blending MindChamps’ research-backed pedagogy with Dr Emma Watkins’ artistry, we are creating experiences that ignite curiosity, nurture resilience and cultivate empathy. Our vision is for every child, everywhere, to grow up with the Champion Mindset, fully equipped and prepared to face the future with 100% Respect and Zero Fear.
