Sustainable food and plant-based alternatives are the future, and Singapore food aficionados have something super fun to look forward to this coming January!

Organised in collaboration between CapitaLand’s Singapore Science Park, Innovate 360, and NUS Enterprise, this two-day extravaganza promises to tantalise taste buds, challenge perceptions, and pave the way for a more sustainable and flavourful future.

Breaking stereotypes with affordable innovation for sustainable food

Flavours of Tomorrow Festival aims to shatter misconceptions surrounding sustainable food, including alternative proteins and meatless cuisine. Say goodbye to the notion that sustainable food is expensive, non-nutritive, and unappetising! Festival partners and participating food companies are curating an affordable menu exclusively for festival-goers, introducing a new world of flavours to locals.

With plant-based products traditionally costing 30% more, there’s been a surge in the plant-based startup scene, with 60 alternative protein startups in Singapore. The festival serves as a melting pot of innovative entrepreneurs, each armed with their unique brand of deliciousness.

Sean Mak, Chief Operating Officer of Innovate 360, invites everyone to join in “experiencing the excitement and creativity these startups bring to the forefront, as we collectively pave the way for a more sustainable and flavourful future.”

Fostering innovation, and collaboration for sustainable food

The festival is not just about food; it celebrates sustainability, innovation, and collaboration for global food security. Recent studies reveal a 94% positive sentiment among Singapore consumers towards sustainable food trends. The Singapore Food Agency’s “30 by 30 goal” seeks to derive at least 30% of the country’s nutritional needs from sustainable local sources by 2030. Events like Flavours of Tomorrow are crucial in encouraging sustainability and innovation to achieve this ambitious target.
