Some malls decorate for Christmas.
NEX builds an entire festive universe.

We attended the media preview with Divisha and honestly, it felt like walking into a pastel dream. The kind where your child forgets you exist for 45 minutes because they’re too busy sliding down inflatables and waving at oversized LINE FRIENDS characters. She ran straight from one corner to another, shouting “Mama look!” at every new colour burst and mini character she recognised. And for once, I wasn’t just documenting a mall event. I was in it with her.

This year, NEX is celebrating 15 years as the north-east’s largest community mall and it is going all out with a LINE FRIENDS minini Christmas experience running from 14 November to 31 December 2025

Singapore’s first-ever LINE FRIENDS minini inflatable playground

The main highlight is Singapore’s very first LINE FRIENDS minini Inflatable Playground, designed like a pastel candy wonderland filled with bouncy zones, slides and larger-than-life minini characters.

Here’s the important bit for accuracy:

Each play pass admits one child below 12 years old and one accompanying adult. Both must wear socks to enter. Redemptions are limited to 20 per session and two passes per NEXrewards member per day. Certain store categories such as supermarkets, beauty, hair, wellness and education enrichment stores are excluded.

LINE FRIENDS minini backrest cushions for collectors

For fans of cute and functional collectibles, NEX is also releasing exclusive LINE FRIENDS minini Backrest Cushions.

Each NEXrewards member can only redeem one cushion per design for the entire campaign. These cushions are intended as functional back supports or decorative pieces and are not purely for display value.

Bonus birthday rewards for NEX’s 15th anniversary

To celebrate its 15th birthday, NEX is also running Bonus Birthday Rewards.

Shoppers who spend a minimum of $150 and scan their NEXrewards member QR at participating stores can take part in a sure-win game and stand to win prizes worth over $20,000 from brands such as OSIM, COURTS and FairPrice Xtra.

These rewards run during November 2025 and are part of the mall’s anniversary celebrations.

BHG Christmas market and meaningful giving

From 8 to 26 December 2025, the BHG Christmas Market will be held at Level 1 Atrium.

The market features festive bakes and gifts such as:

Beyond shopping, BHG is also partnering Children’s Wishing Well for a Secret Santa charity drive. Shoppers can pick up a wish tag, purchase a suitable gift for a child from a beneficiary family and return it with the tag attached by 26 December 2025.

The market runs from 10am to 10pm daily (except 8 December, opening at 12pm). Shoppers can also earn NEXpoints when spending a minimum of $20 at the market.

Santa and gingerbread man meet-and-greets

Families can also catch the Santa & Friend Meet and Greet on:
13, 14, 20 and 21 December 2025

Santa and the Gingerbread Man will appear at Level 1 in front of Dyson from 5pm to 5.30pm, perfect for quick festive photo moments with the little ones.

A Christmas memory in the making

There is something comforting about returning to the same festive anchors every year and watching your child experience it differently each time. This year, NEX felt less like a mall event and more like a December tradition in the making.

It is thoughtfully designed, genuinely family-friendly and layered with both fun and meaning. If you are planning a festive family day out, this is one Christmas stop worth bookmarking.
