The quintessential starter to the auspicious celebration is Din Tai Fung’s Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng 发财鱼生, with an assemblage of ingredients symbolising good health, happiness, wealth and luck.

Featuring a medley of freshly prepared julienned carrots and green and white radish, the Yu Sheng also includes the ever-indulgent smoked salmon slices, sprinkled with delightfully crunchy ingredients such as the toasted white sesame seeds, roasted peanuts and all-time favourite crispy yam strips — a delectable serving that will whet your appetite. For an extra load of happiness, let the abundance of wealth flow with Din Tai Fung’s iconic plum dressing, before “lo-ing” to unify all the ingredients together perfectly.

For added blessings of fortune, this dish hides a few more surprises with unique ingredients to sprinkle on top like the Fried Salmon Skin 炸鱼皮 (S$5.00 per serving) and Crispy Yam Strips 酥脆芋头丝 (S$3.80 per serving). Din Tai Fung’s rendition takes an unconventional twist to the traditional golden crackers, melding a contrasting crunch that will surely up your Yu Sheng game. Sweeten it up with the additional Auspicious Plum Dressing (S$2 per serving) and an extra serving of Sliced Smoked Salmon 熏三文鱼片 (60g, S$12.80 per serving). Akin to the original rendition (without the smoked salmon), vegetarians can partake in the festivities and opt for Vegetarian Prosperity Yu Sheng 富贵素鱼生.

Enjoy a stress-free Lunar New Year reunion and avoid the long queues by pre-ordering your Yu Sheng online via the Din Tai Fung e-store. All pre-orders have to be made at least 3 days in advance and can be picked up at your preferred Din Tai Fung restaurant from 9 January 2023 onwards.
