“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney

An entrepreneur is a person responsible for setting up a business or an enterprise. He has the initiative, skill for innovation and who looks for high achievements. He is a catalytic agent of change and works for the benefit of people. He is the one who puts up projects that create wealth, opens up many employment opportunities and leads to growth of other sectors.

Though many people on board the voyage of entrepreneurship, yet they fail to become as successful as others . This happens, when potential entrepreneurs do not imbibe the characteristics which create a great entrepreneur.  A great entrepreneur, develops and owns his own enterprise, he is a moderate risk taker and works under uncertainty for achieving his goal. One of the most important characteristic of an entrepreneur is innovation. He has to be innovative to be able to offer a completely different product or service in the market and become an obstacle to his competitors. A great entrepreneur is a persuader of deviant pursuits and reflects a strong urge to be independent.

He is the one who persistently tries to do something better and thus also stays dissatisfied with routine activities. He is the one who is prepared to withstand the hard life and  is determined to achieve his goal, but patiently. He will exhibit a sense of competiveness and leadership which means that he wouldn’t simply ask people to work and meet deadlines but , make them learn through their mistakes, work with them for a common goal and help them grow in the organization. A great entrepreneur  takes personal responsibility , he is the one liable for the failure of plans .However , accepts failure as optimism and again gets oriented towards development of new and better plans for the future.

An entrepreneur only becomes successful when he tends to persist in the face of adversity where others leave.  A key difference between an entrepreneur and a great entrepreneur is that the great ones start their journeys where the ordinary ones end and give up. Therefore, it is rightly said by Robert H. Schuller, “tough times never last but tough people do.” And those who tend to, are the ones on board, who end their successful voyage by leaving their imprint on history.
